LICE LIFTERS is making lice Affordable!
No one plans for lice. It can be a costly undertaking for most people to get rid of lice. No one sets aside money just for LICE. Lice Lifters now offers Scratchpay. Scratchpay is a service to help alleviate the stress of paying for lice treatment.
Over the counter products like Nix and Rid no longer work. Lice are now resistant to the pesticides. In addition, they do not provide enough treatment products in their packaging to treat one person. Multiple packages are needed and they don’t work. The OTC packaging states that you should not be using in the bath tub that the absorption is dangerous. Many people place their young children in bathtubs to wash the treatment from the head therefore, soaking in the dangerous chemicals. These pesticide OTC products cannot be used on children under 2. In addition, it says to use 7 days later. This does not get ahead of the life cycle of the louse and the eggs will continue to hatch and the lice outbreak will continue.
This is when a frustrated parent looks for another way to treat their family. LICE LIFTERS!
At this point the parents have spent hundreds of dollars and they still have lice. We always tell them to return their empty boxes and to get their money back from the store they were purchased. We also provide them a receipt from Lice Lifters to show they needed to have professional treatment. The cost of Lice Lifters Treatment for one person is competitive, but with multiple family members it can become costly.

Covid and Lice
Head lice were also affected by COVID-19 — a decrease on Pediculosis infestation due to the quarantine and social distancing. Head lice is one of the most common parasitic diseases among children worldwide, everyone gets lice. Lice feed on blood and spend its entire life cycle procreating on its host head; laying 5 to 10 eggs a day. Just imagine in just a few weeks you could have hundreds of bugs when the eggs hatch.
Lice are not considered a medical condition but more of a nuisance. However, there can be a bacterial infection due to scratching of the head scalp due to the blood feeding and excretory behavior of these parasites. Only 50% of people are itchy due to head lice. It is an allergic reaction. We have learned that 100% of people itch when thinking or talking about lice. Lice Lifters has seen raw scalps due to the scratching and further irritated by using OTC pesticide products. This combination can cause bleeding scalps. The good news is Lice Lifters treatment is soothing to the scalp as well as the injured scalp.
Additionally, head louse infestations can affect children’s behavior, school performance, and sleep quality due to the discomfort of scratching. The itching can become unbearable and instead of focusing on school work they are wiggling around and scratching. It is even harder now that kids are virtually learning the distractions are greater and there is not a teacher noticing the scratching. Prior to Covid-19 teachers would send the itching child to the school nurse for a head check. Parents are overwhelmed now with working from home and home schooling their multiple children. Lice are the last thing on their mind. They can’t imagine how lice can even be a consideration with all the social distancing.
Transmission of lice occurs primarily through direct head-to-head contact and the main routes of infestation occur between social and familiar contact. Lice Lifters has been contact tracing way before Covid-19 and found most cases of lice came from school, school bus, camp and sleepovers. These are events that are not happening for most of the country. What we are finding is that if there are lice the whole family as well as extended family has been infested because that is their “Covid” bubble. Whereas before Covid-19, lice would be caught earlier before everyone was infested.
Loss of Income due to Covid-19
There has been a huge economic fallout from COVID-19 and continues to effect half of all adults. At least half of all adults that lost their jobs due to the coronavirus are still unemployed to some degree. Even if they didn’t lose a job, many workers have had to reduce their hours or take a pay cut due to the economic fallout from the pandemic. A third of all adults reported that this has happened to them or someone in their household. More than 60% of these people are earning less now than they were before the coronavirus outbreak.
It has been almost a year since the coronavirus outbreak sent shockwaves through the U.S. economy. While we have recovered somewhat many Americans are still having financial difficulties. “A new Pew Research Center survey finds that, overall, one-in-four adults have had trouble paying their bills since the coronavirus outbreak started, a third have dipped into savings or retirement accounts to make ends meet, and about one-in-six have borrowed money from friends or family or gotten food from a food bank.”
